Legoland - 1 adult, 2 young DC... does that work?

I am just thinking about the rides, can 3 of you go on together? I wouldn't want DC to be on their own on a ride and obviously I cannot leave one anywhere whilst I go on a ride with the other, so this is a major consideration as to whether I can possibly bring myself to suffer a day at go to Legoland, or if it just won't work because of this, then I won't bother.

TIA

Well if the 7 year old is ok sitting next to a stranger on rides it'll be ok

They do let you queue with both, go on ride with one, whilst leaving the other at the front of the queue, then swap over. You get to ride twice Grin If the dcs are happy, it works.

So the seats only come in sets of two? As I know nothing about the rides, I'd wondered if they were in a kind of bench format.

I am not comfortable leaving one behind at all. I'd prefer one of them with a stranger than left behind, but I'm not that comfortable with that either TBH.

I need to do a bit more research I think, it's just tricky, as the second the legoland website pings up on the screen, the DC will be all over me! Wait until they are in the garden.

Thanks for the info.

I've been wondering about this with DC who are 8 and 6. When DS and I went together when he was 5 it was great - paid with tesco club card vouchers and got Qbots and had a wonderful time. But now DD is older and probably would be all right going on roller coasters am wondering if we could all manage to go together.

AnonymousBird · 10/04/2012 11:37

QED - so just you and DS then first time around?

I was going to do exactly that - Tesco vouchers plus QBot, so happy with all that, just not sure about NOT being next to one of the DC on the rides as DS, in particular, gets a bit twitchy if it is quite fast and likes to hold a hand!!!

The first time DD was only 3 and would either had been lots more to take her and another adult as wouldnt have felt up to me with two smallish children. DS and I are the adrenaline ones ( we are planning a trip to Alton Towers for when he is bug enough to go on all the rides lol). DD would need hand holding I am sure and although it could be possible to go on with each of them once and I would be ok with that from a leaving child at front of queue point of view, I'm not sure how the child would feel. And I think DS would find it unfair that I got to go on the rides twice Grin.

Also would be more of an expedition now as we live further away and were v lucky with beautiful weather when we went last time which obviously can't be predicted. Part of me wonders whether to just remember the great visit we made and not to try and recreate.

You can play spot the typo from someone still getting used to new iPad there Blush

There are quite a few rides where you can either go 3 or more together or an older child can ride on its own whilst you ride with a sibling. YOu can play it by ear when you get there, and there are lots of activities where you dont actually need to go in groups at all. Also some rides the two kids will be able to go on their own and you can wait for them. Its very well organized and I wouldnt worry, you will have a great day!
