Long haul to Disneyland Paris via Folkestone

I am driving from North West England to Disneyland Paris via Folkestone with my 3 children (6,4 and 6 months). It is a very long drive so need somewhere to stop over, can anyone recommend anywhere to stay which is child/baby friendly?

Have you already booked your ferry tickets?
If not, you could go Portsmouth-Le Havre on an overnight ferry.
That would give you a shorter drive on both sides of the channel and allow you to travel while you sleep, as well as solving your issue about where to stay.

not yet booked, thats a good idea and would make the driving easier. Thanks

If going by eurotunnel, we have stopped in the travelodge at Ashford (Eureka Leisure Park). Only ten mins away. Can then get an early train next am.

We drive to France every year and like waswonderin we have a long drive - we drive from Glasgow to Folkestone in a day, stay overnight and then get the eurotunnel early. We always stay in the Holiday Inn Express there, only 5 minutes or so from the tunnel. Can thoroughly recommend it to.

The staff there are brilliant, and the rooms are nice and clean. I remember last year on the way back my 2 DSs had a Toy Story Mr Potato Head each as we had spent a fortune some money at Disneyland and the staff at reception made a huge fuss and took a picture for their website, DS2 in particular thought this was great! Grin

Theres also a 24 hour Tesco on the way to the Eurotunnel which is handy on stocking up on stuff for the journey.
