Has anyone flown Air Europa with a baby?

Hi - has anyone flown with Air Europa before with a baby and was the experience good/bad? We are flying from London to Madrid to visit relatives and it will be our first trip with our LO who will be 5 months old by then. Bit scary really as she's quite vocal (i.e. cries a lot!). Two other questions:

  • Also, I read on the Air Europa site that buggies can be taken on board provided they fit into the overhead luggage compartment otherwise they have to be checked in. Does anyone know whether a Bugaboo Bee would fit into the overhead?
  • Second, do you know if parents with infants get priority boarding (like you do with Easyjet)? If not, I can't imagine there being any room to put the buggy even if it did fit!

Thank you so much for any advice! It's our first trip and we want to be as prepared as possible to make it as stress free as possible for us as well as the LO.

x :)

I can only answer to your second question: yes babies and children have priority boarding with Air Europa.
Take off and landing will be the difficult part as babies don't like to be attached, but if you're still bf, that helps a lot. Otherwise, have a bottle ready for the landing as it hurts the ears if they don't suck on something.

@Gordonpym. Thanks so much for the tip! I am worried about the trip because when she's cross she likes to hold her breath until she turns purple then let rip! She also hates having a harness or any kind of strap (hence there are always tears whenever we have to strap her in the car seat or in the Bugaboo Bee). Plus she refuses to take a pacifier and, when cross, will refuse the breast. So mentally preparing myself and expecting the worse so we can be as calm as possible! Not much we can do about it and the trip is to visit her grandparents. Fingers crossed!

Btw -- have since found out that Air Europa will let you take the stroller up to the boarding gate. If it doesn't fit into the overhead luggage compartment, then they will stow it away for free then return it to you at the other side :) Only downside is that the car seat counts as an extra item and there's a EUR100 charge for additional checked in luggage, which is a bit steep to my mind!
