I am taking my little boy to euro disney this week, just for a couple of nights. We are booked into a hotel within the park and already have our tickets. we are going by Eurostar. I haven't done much research about the place and would welcome any tips about how to make this very special break a success! TIA

take plenty of warm clothes and waterproofs as it does rain there as much as the UK. get to the park as early as possible and go home for a nap in the afternoon if you are going to do the firework displays. its easy to try and cram it all in but they get too tired and stop enjoying things so pace yourself according to the age and stamina of the children.

thanks...how did you find the food options? i've been warned that the hotel buffet is a total rip off so we won't be doing that. I'm anticipating little escape from fast food, but hope i'm wrong!

Take snacks and cartons of drink in your bag ....placed in the very bottom in a dark carrier!

Go to the park for opening.

Eat in the hotel - much nicer than the park.

Take swimming cossie for afternoon/evenings swims.

Maximise fast pass usage.

Take those snacks with you as there are no shops at all, same goes for calpol, paracetamol, nappies etc etc only disney shops everywhere unless you travel.

When you get off the eurostar you are literally there.Look for the bus with your hotel name on. I went alone with just my little girl and we loved it. We ate at the village every night, planet hollywood rainforest cafe and mickys cafe(bit of a rip off but fun)

great, thanks! we're both really excited. He's four and a half, and has been counting down 'number of sleeps' before we go.

I was there with the family I work for over the half term holiday. We had 6,4 and 2 year olds. The food is horrendously expensive, so I would definitely take snacks and a refillable water bottle. Also, maybe take some UHT milk if your DS is used to drinking it at bedtime - I think the hotel were charging 2.50 for a small glass.

We had lunch one day at the Inventions buffet in the Disneyland hotel, the food was good and it was nice to sit somewhere quiet in the middle of the day. Cafe Mickey was a lot of fun with the characters but the food on the set menu wasn't great.

Our four year old was tall enough to go on quite a few of the fast rides i.e. thunder mountain and tower of terror and surprisingly really enjoyed them!

The kids all enjoyed the cinemagique, animagique and playhouse Disney shows in the studios. Make sure you go to see the dragon in his lair under the castle - he's pretty scary!!!

On the way home we asked the kids what their favourite part of the trip had been - they were unanimous that the afternoon spent in the pool had been the best bit! (we should have just taken them to the leisure centre at the end of the road!)
