Pushchairs for holiday - which one is best?

Hi all - we've booked a holiday- yippee! Now I want to pick your brains about which buggy we should buy. DS will be 8 months when we go so we need to get a cheap but super light buggy to take with us. I like the Maclaren Volo - is this the lightest on the market at around 4kg? But it's also quite expensive at around £45. Anyone got any other suggestions?

does it need to be extremely light? Will you be carrying it much? Personally, I like the Mothercare Jive, it's cheap, robust, handles well and folds down small.

and also the mothercare one has a degree of recline, so better for little one too sleep in, wheeras the volo doesn't recline.

i always buy a cheapo mothercare one when i go abroad, so that when it gets recked with sand, water, ice cream, drinks, i can just leave it behind or bin it when i get back. it saves my nice one that i have at home from getting ruined. but if you want it to last longer than the holiday i would go for a maclaren one, that has a lie back facility, try ebay or the freeads for a second hand one to keep costs down.

oh yes, good point about the recline, as on holiday they usually have a lot of naps in their pushchairs. The Jive reclines nicely.

Get one without fixed (ie movable) front wheels if possible as well
