Ryanair and luggage - just a plastic bag?

Looking at the baggage allowance for Ryanair, I'm planning to wear two layers of everything and carry basic toiletries, pants, socks and a swimming costume in a plastic bag. Is that the best option? Even a laptop bag is going to absorb 2kg of the allowance - I can't see how else to do it?

Any Ryanair tips??

We checked in 1 bag and then used my sons small wheelie case as hand luggage for one of us . The measurements of the size bag you are allowed is on their website. Shoes are normally one of the heaviest items. Remember no toiletries can be over 100ml.
You could wear clothes with lots of pockets.

Dont you get 10kg allowance as cabin luggage? We did in the summer, if it hasnt changed?

10kg of hand baggage but the size is more important as never had my wheelie weighed but has to fit in the guide box thing ( very technicial term) and this has been checked every flight

We used a light weight holdall when we travelled with Ryan Air, it's surprising how heavy even a small case can be! Lots of people seemed to be using back packs for their luggage. Whatever you use, they're very strict about size.
