How do you warm bottles up on a plane??

Have a longhaul flight coming up - 12 hours, overnight, DD's first (she is nearly 2 but not yet and so will be on my knee and I am on my own.) dreading it

Will they warm her bottle up for her? How do you do the whole milk thing? How do you survive at all?

Ask for help. It is not going to be great for you but it can be done. Forward planning is essential.

The crew will warm up the milk for you but do be very cautious because feeding her as it may well come back boiling hot.

I have done this with my DD, took her to Japan when she was 18months. You will be fine, the cabin crew will be very helpful, yes they will warm milk.

You just have to take a deep breath and go for it!

Thank you. Very reassuring. Have to change flights halfway (and check bags out and in again) so worried about handling bags plus pushchair plus toddler, too.

Did yours have any problem equalising their ears? Anything you can do about sore ears?

I always DD a bottle at take off and landing to help with the ears. The crew were always lovely and helping to warm bottles.

Crew will be able to warm any bottles if you ask them. However, word of warning as I asked them to WARM a bottle for me and it came back boiling hot. Had to wait for it to cool down again so make sure your baby is not screaming for milk!
