Don't know about P&O's priority thingy - but you might want to check out this site A Ferry.to. I booked with these and got a good rate - they also do a price comparison for you as it depends when you want to go and for how long as to who is the cheapest.

P&O have much larger ships than Seafrance with more facilities, better duty free's etc.

Speedferries v cheap (but get dear if you start changing your bookings)

Heathcliffscathy · 18/01/2006 21:43

oooo jan we found them yesterday actually and we're going with them as we're sure they're the ones that we saw a documentary about and P&O have been doing massive dirty tricks campaign (a la BA when virgin started doing air travel) and they are the little guy!!!!

Yes, they were, sophable, re documentary (I didn't see it but heard about it) and yes they are (re P&O/dirty tricks a la BA - though not just them, the whole Dover-Calais cartel I believe).

Marina travelled with them last year I think and was v pleased. Someone else booked with them last year and was miffed that changing her dates was more expensive than implied, but that is the way they work, so do be sure your dates are firm.

Heathcliffscathy · 18/01/2006 21:49

absolutely, we realise both that they have far fewer sailings and that they are non-flexible in terms of their fares....

hurrah for the little guy
