Centreparcs Europe - what are toppings and how do you actually book them?

Looking at a week in either the french or belgium centreparcs but on the price its say 5 free toppings, one is choosing your villa location but how do you book others?

I know there have been threads about this before but can't find them despite extensive searching.

thanks

toppings.centerparcs.com/gb-en

"You will see an overview of your offer and all the options. If you book at least two months in advance, you will see your Toppings under ?Arrangements?. Your offer will consist of 1 fixed topping and 4 vouchers for toppings of your choice. You can exchange these on the spot."

Also - have a look at Landal.com - much cheaper than Centerparcs!

put when i add the arrangements it increases the price not decreases the toppings hmmm what am i doing wrong?

not heard of landal will have a google

You will get vouchers - so you can't book these in advance (apart from the villa location) - that is my understanding of it.

katz · 09/01/2012 10:23

ahh that makes sense! i thought you had to book them in advance. Just need to make a decision on which one to go to, 20% discount at the moment for European Parcs and the french ones look like they have good swimming pools.

Have been to a few of the dutch and one of the Belgian centerparcs and all of the swimming pools have been excellent.
What age are the dcs as some parcs suit younger dc better.

We have been to Eperheide and enjoyed it very much.

My DD's are 6 and 9, i'm assuming that the pool use is included like in the UK. I think i fancy the Les Bois-Francs in France as a week in an Original Comfort is ~£900, Eden Comfort and Original Premium £950, and the Original VIP £1,100. Tempted by the VIP as ths gets us our own sauna and whirlpool bath!

Seems pretty reasonable. The Aqua Mundo's seem bigger in the French parks with the water trees.

my other short listed park is De Haan in Belgium as this appears to be just over an hour from Calasis and is by the beach and also would allow us to explore Bruges too.

I went there when it was still owned by Sunparks. Pool complex is good. De Haan is a lovely town - the beach is huge and sandy and you can rent bikes/go karts to ride up and down the seafront. Also the tram runs the entire length of the coast so easy to get out and about. Good website

thanks De Hann does sound nice- need to make a decision this week as the 20% off is if you book 6 months in advance which since we plan on going in late July is rapidly approaching.

The cheapest weeks are last week in August because the dutch have gone back to school.
Erperheide has the Baluba which has a giant ball park, great for younger children and Het Heijerbos has the jungle dome again great for the dcs.

We have been to Les Bois France twice (we live in France) compared to the UK ones (only done Sherwood Forest where ds2 got Norovirus so spent most of the time in the bathroom, and Longleat which was fine but twas years ago) but I would say the accommodation (had an original premium both times)& restaurants are way better in France, & the pool complex is great - however there are not as many organised actvities as the UK - the first visit was Xmas 10 & the snow was so heavy NOTHING outside was open at all so we relied heavily on the swimming! (though they did give us a ?500 voucher!)

katz · 09/01/2012 16:09

thats good to here about the french ones, now to get it booked!

Can I but in & ask about choosing the cottage location - is that done on arrival too or is there somewhere to do it when booking. If there is I've missed it...
