has anyone been here, realistically how much is there to keep a 3.5 year old and 2 year old happy ??? We are hoping to go wtih friends in april.

What type of accommodation do you recommend?

How expensive is everything once you get in i.e food, swimming pool, baby creche, treatments etc. is there plenty to do if weather is duff?

Any responses would be gratefully received

Happy New Year everyone. I'm hoping for a better year !

the most expensive accomodation you can afford is the only way to go. we booked last minute last easter and the only one's left were the comfort villas. they are not lovely little log cabins like the brochure shows they are concrete prefabs which look like public loos. the interior is like an old people's home and is just horrible. I can't tell you too much about the place as my dh's appendix burst on our second day and he was admitted to hospital so we left. we did do a bike ride and that was okay but it rained the whole time. dh did make it to the tropical pool thingy on the first day with ds1 and said it was okay but nothing special. I would try again in better accomodation but dh is put off for life.

Well, we have been to Sherwood a number of times with our dd (she was aged between 2 and 4 the times we went) and always enjoyed it. We always got an executive villa as they seemed much nicer than a comfort villa.
If your kids like the water then I would have thought they would be quite happy for a couple of days - there are 2 different small children's pools with slides as well as the shallow end of the big pool when the wave machine comes on!
The pool is free, but the restaurants are quite pricey for what they are - nice to come out of the pool and have a hot chocolate or something at Chez Pierre , but we tended to eat in our villa. I always took a supply of M&S ready meals for a treat!
I've always hankered after a treatment in the Aqua Sana but have never been yet, so can't comment on value for money there I'm afraid.
We seem to have stopped going now that dd has started school because it is so damned expensive in the school holidays, but if you're going during term time then I think it's a reasonably priced holiday.
