Have just booked a night at this hotel (Mumsnet recommendation - see FIND THE BEST) and wondered if anyone could tell me anything useful about it other than what's on the Mumsnet review? Like is the restaurant open every night? What kind of babylistening is it? Is car parking free? Is breakfast worth getting up for? Is the pool open to kids at all times? Any advice gratefully received.

Jan I don't know the answers to your questions but why not telephone the hotel direct to find these things out. As its Le Touquet all the staff will speak English and it will not cost much.

breakfast is fantastic and free for kids - home made croissants etc
Didn't use babylistening - went out with the v small kids to eat and local restaurants were v friendly. Hotel good at recommending restaurants. Am sure theirs is open every night. Car park was free in my recollection, pool open to kids all the time but was a bit cooler than we'd hoped so didn't stay in all day

Beach is fantastic - take a kite if you hve one it's a real kite beach. Think there may also be a water park - but again the hotel would know

Enjoy!

The water park is expensive - so if the weather is bad plan to spend a reasonable amount of time in there. Otherwise complete waste of money.
The beach is fabulous !!

I went to the hippodrome with school when I was 15, brought back lots of memories reading this!

Just reporting back for anyone who would like to know. We stayed at The Holiday Inn Resort on a Sunday night in November. Cost 120 euros for a two level room with two double beds for a night. Parking is free. Pool open till about 9pm and heated to a really comfortable temp. Restaurant fine with children - they brought colouring pencils and stuff for our 4yo at dinner. And they had a kids menu (roast chicken, etc - NO NUGGETS!!Yay!). Breakfast is (as reported by others) a really good buffet, free for kids. Saw others with smaller babies using high chairs provided by hotel. Downside is no baby listening - so we need to amend that on the Mumsnet "best of" list. Hope this helps someone.

Just to add to Jan's stuff - I stayed there a couple of weeks ago - although there's no baby listening you can get a babysitter in the room - at 10 euros an hour we didn't take it up but it might be worth it for a night out
