We are hoping to go to the Isle of Wight.

Blandmum · 24/12/2005 19:58

France, camping and Eurodisney, it is already booked! £808 poinds for all four of us for two weeks in the peak of peak season. $ days near Disney and 9 on the coast, one night b and b luxury on the way home!

NutcrackingXmas · 24/12/2005 20:02

Blimey that is cheap, is that for everything MB ???

Roobietherednosedreindeer · 24/12/2005 20:03

2 weeks self-catering in Scotland .... booked some time ago

Blandmum · 24/12/2005 20:11

We have out own tent, That includes channel tunnel crossing (we are all rubish sailors!), 4 nights at the first campsire, two days pass into Disney, nine nights in the second campsite, with electrical hook up and hire of a 'fridge. The b and b is rather plush and is 120 euros...almost the most expensive part of the holiday!

I have calculated the costs and it is 808 for the 4 of us, not including food, petrol, and toll fees...but it does include the Disney tickers which are about £200....gottta get a tent girls, It saves a fortune!

i cant do camping or caravanning anymore. we have had a frame tent for 2yrs, trailer tent for 7mths then a caravan, back to a tent, then back to a caravan. Have decided now that i cant stand the packing and unpacking of items into trailers etc. i love the lifestyle on the campsites, it is one of the best holidays we have ever had, but i am fed up of the driving, stop overs, setting up for the first few nights stop overs, packing away, then setting up again, etc etc. But i fully agree with you, you save a fortune.

Blandmum · 26/12/2005 10:08

Frame tents are fab, but they are a bit of a hassle to put up. Have you had a look at the tunnel tents? They don't have as much room as the older frame tents (though some are quite big) and they take a fraction of the time to pitch. We can put ours up in 25 minutes, and dh can do it on his own. We don't pitch for less than 3 days, less than that and we spend some of the money we save and go to a luxury b and b. Ditto cooking, we eat out a lot! We love it and so do the kids
