Crying in the car

Help!! Advice needed. My DD who is 14 weeks old cries every time we get into our car. She settles after about 20 mins normally as long as we don't have to stop for anything. This is making driving on my own virtually impossible. Does anyone have any good tips.
Thanks.

turn the radio up.

my dd3 hates being in her car seat, she is 10months, i am hoping she will be happier when she can face forward and see more. i have to drive on my own most of the time, you do just tune it out i'm afraid.

Music, can she see/hear you - chat to her, toys such as a mirror or activity thing you can fix so she can't lose it.

It will pass, eventually!

Ohh, I sympathise. We have just returned home yesterday from visiting rellies and during our 4 1/2 hour journey, DS3 cried on and off for 3 hours of it, absolutely SCREAMING for the last hour. DS1 and DD2 were the same as babies!!! Tried everything have to say! All that helped was age... they will eventually grow out of it. Just try and make sure DD is well fed and comfy, has plenty of toys to look at and brace yourself! Does get better once they can face forwards IME.

it will get better, honestly.

Thanks to you all for your advice. I will hang in there, get some good tunes going and toys etc and see if she improves with age!!! Happy xmas

Mym DD cries every time we go out in the car, too! She gets hysterical and then falls asleep, but it's so frustrating! Have got a mirror for her and some toys, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.
