Is it really safe to visit New York after 9/11

Just a thought......
I would love to go and visit NY and whilst there pay my respects to all the people who were killed in 9/11 and see the wonderful waterfalls they have built there at Ground Zero.

Whats the general consensus ?

I can't believe you're asking either. People LIVE there - my brother included. It's a great city with loads to do and I'd thoroughly recommend a visit.

Would you not go to London post 7/7? Not cross a road in case a bus hits you? You have to keep some perspective here.
