where is best to stay?

suburbophobe, now I'm nosey curious! I want to know about your friends hotel!

Love the Dam :)

We stayed at the Hotel Krasnapolsky right in Dam sq and it was lovely and location couldnt have been better.

Have also stayed at the Movenpick which was stunning but a bit further out

I stayed in the Barbizon Palace (3 times now) which is right opposite the station, absolutely lovely hotel.

I've always really wanted to book a "secret hotel" on Lastminute.com but DH isn't up for it. Have a great time where ever you end up staying.

Great place. Have you tried Laterooms? The first time I went to Amsterdam I went to roll up on a friend. She was out and so I just went to a hotel. I didn't know it was the sex district. OK place but noisy with bonking. Went to the loo and came back to find some money mysteriously had appeared in the room. I locked the door and fell asleep to the sound of bonking.

Have a brill time - such good food, lots to do and always spectacle...
