But we don't have any accommodation planned yet.
I have looked at the camping companies like key camp/ siblu etc but difficult to find space at a price I can afford. I had no idea those places were so £££
Spent last night trawling trough ownersdirect and chez nous.

Starting to panic that we won't find anything.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestiions?
Thx

They're around £900 anyway so top end price-wise

oooh, that looks lovely, orienteerer! Smile

thanks ponders and orienteerer
I will email some of them now -

Its so frustrating - as lots who show as having availabilty, then email me back saying they have been booked out for months - as if I should have already known this.

Have you considered somewhere further north (on your way home) for your 2nd week? Only suggest it as your DC might be interested in some WW2 things in Normandy?

duckdodgers · 16/07/2011 23:57

I book with Cottages for You and at a basic look here for example, there are more.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and help.
I have now managed to find 2 separate gite/villas for our trip to France.

Week 1 is down south near Perpignon and week 2 is on way home near La Rochelle.

Kids are ready for it as we have had Dailey rubbish first 3 weeks of the school holidays so far.

Perpignan area is lovely, we've had some great holidays down there. If you want days out the \link{http://www.golanguedoc.com/best-kids-activities/kids-infrance-sigean-african-safari-park.html\Safari Park at Sigean} is excellent (but they don't charge by the car, it's 27 euro per adult & 21 per child - worth it though IMO), & the Cathar castles are amazing (\link{http://france-for-visitors.com/languedoc/peyrepertuse.html\Peyrepertuse is the most complete})

Very hot, with brilliant beaches, & Perpignan is a beautiful small city. Good cheap local wine too Smile

Have a wonderful time!
