Hi there, we have stayed in Chia Village with DS when he was 3.
We paid for a family room, in reality it was two adjoining rooms, but the ones with a bedroom upstairs looked nicer. If you want this sort of room they will claim it can't be done unless there are 4 of you, but provided you pay as if there were 4 then you are ok.
We ate at the Chia Laguna and it looked like a very classy hotel, most families with young children would probably stay in the Chia Village though as the Laguna seemed more adult oriented.
We really enjoyed the hotel, they have a train/bus to the beach and the quality of the half board food is good, if you do get a chance then go to La Luna one evening. The beach is beautiful and if you don't take the first two rows of sun loungers, then they are free plus towels and parasols.
The childrens club is not the most sophisticated and we found it a bit scary that they wanted to whisk DS off to the beach without really letting us know, having any first aid equipment and just very relaxed about the whole safety element of it, Italian parents seemed less bothered. However it is right beside the childrens pool so DH and I would stay there and then watch out if they appeared to be moving anywhere and take DS back again. In the evening they doubled up as entertainers in the not terribly sophisticated evening entertainment.
There isn't a huge amount to do in the area, so two weeks might feel like a long time. Also lunch and drinks are expensive.
All in all we had a great time, and would love to go back, but its too expensive for us in the school holidays.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
