Oh yes el torero. Lush!

Have ruled out hna hana as poor reviews on trip advisor, too msny to ignore.
Rasa seems like a good bet.
Bacchus ive searched for it, it looks like walk up towards monument and turn right onto high bridge street is that right or am i looking at wrong place?
Will look at el torero now.

So blakes for brekkie
Bacchus for lunch
And Six or Rasa for dinner

Was just about to say Blakes for breakfast!

One of the things I like about Buee is that it always feels like an oasis of calm in the maelstrom of the Quayside! But Six is fantastic, though very big and noisy (due to the space) - not right for a cosy romantic dinner, if that's what you're after. Also nearby and in the same 'modern European' vein as Six are Caffe Vivo and Pan Haggerty. Rasa is great for distinctive, delicious Southern Indian food. Blackfriars, up by the old town walls, does fabulous food, as someone said a few posts back, and has a lovely atmosphere.

The tripadvisor reviews are right about Hana Hana. I'd check out what they have to say about El Torero before going there myself too, only been there once but it was not good.

If you do make it slightly out of town then As You Like It is brilliant. Especially the supper club.

lollystix · 25/05/2011 22:03

I've eaten at Rasa - it was amazing food. The atmosphere wasn't super posh/intimate etc if that's what you're looking for but rate the food. Isn't there a posh fish one in jesmond dene that's supposed to be good?

PotteringAlong · 25/05/2011 22:03

Yup, that's the street. Am really hungry now - I want to go to town for food!

Ooh, and never been but heard lots of very good things about noudu (sp?) - a noodle place at the top of china town

Fishemans Lodge is JesmondDene
