Anyone stayed with this company?

In particular, anyone stayed at their St Tropez resort?

what did you think?

We've been twice in N France, both good holidays. Accommodation ok - functional, comfy and clean, decor can be a bit bright ! Check what kitchen comprises as we had no kettle last year or oven. Go for a size larger than your party as the rooms are not big and have the beds pre-made and end of stay cleaning. Facilities vary from site to site.

Hi have been to the St Tropez one. My opinion - it is very expensive there for what you get. The apartments are meant to be titchy. We had a 2 bed house / villa which was fine, but a bit basic - not like the pictures. The pool was fantastic - lots of different areas. Dd was 3 when we went and went to the kids club a few times - but it was pretty much all in French. It is built on the side of a hill with lots of steps. The view out to the coast was stunning. The shop hardly stocked anything, and the food in the cafe/restaurant was dire.

You definitely need a car - there is nothing within walking distance. We actually really enjoyed our holiday, but mainly because of the pool and the fact that there was loads to do/see in the local area. The traffic along the coast can be manic in the summer months though. Port Grimaud/Ste Maxime and St Tropez are all worth visiting plus all the hill top villages.

We went back to St Tropez but stayed in the Kontiki campsite on Pampelonne beach. It was better value for money. Prairies de La Mer site at Port Grimaud seems to get good recommendations (owned by same company). It's busy but right on the beach and you can walk into town in 5 minutes.

Thank you Portofino (I'm guessing from your name you prefer Italy Grin) - I will look at the Prairies de la Mer site. Port Grimaud does look lovely.

The beaches between St Tropez and Hyeres are to die for. This place is on my hit list for the future. No slides, but nice pool. Le Lavandou./ Cavaliere are really nice.

Oh wow - looks lovely but think appartment would be a bit on the small side.

will check out that area.

My friend lives in Hyeres (la Crau) so would be great place to be located to visit them.

We've stayed with P&V in various locations in France and we too found them to be expensive for what you get. The accommodation is very basic, you have to pay for everything extra (incl having the beds set up, end of term cleaning etc). And don't forget the food you'll need to buy and the activities you may want to do (bicycle hires also cost extra.).
