East Midlands Airport fluid restrrictions. Can I take milk???

We're flying from East Midlands in 4 weeks. I've read the fluid restrictions on the website and it says you can take baby food & sterilised water.

Will I be able to take cartons of milk through or will I be expected to open them & taste them? If I have to do that then I can't store them in the fridge as per instructions.

Is it just easier to buy the cartons in the airport???

We went through Stansted recently and milk cartons were fine - they didn't ask for them to be opened. They did make me open a new sealed pot of baby puree though and taste the water in the baby bottles I had (I took some powdered formula as well as cartons) though.

I was a bit Hmm about the puree as it was new and clearly untampered with.

Make sure you put them all in clear plastic bags.

Hope that helps.

Thanks OfflineFor30Seconds I suppose worst case scenario is we take it & can't take it through. I'm only wanting to take 2 cartons so it'll only waste £1!!

If you're going on holiday things I found useful were sterilising tablets that you can put in cold water and disposable bibs. It depends where you're going but nappies and formula will probably be fairly easy to come by, so don't waste your luggage allowance by packing too much of either!

Thanks. Hadn't thought about disposable bibs. I'll get some of them! I've got the sterilising tablets!
