I so cannot make up my mind where to stay at Eurodisney when we go next year. Is the Disneyland Hotel worth the extra money? Or which other hotels are good? Please please please I need help! THANK YOU!

My only thought on spending so much ont he hotel is wether you will spend enough time in the hotel to benefit from it. We went to DLP and spent all our time int he parks and little in the hotels.

Thank you hulababy, that is a good point.

Anybody else?

We stayed at the Movenpick dreamcastle hotel, which is near Disneyland, it was fantastic. A lot cheaper if you book through them direct rather than the Disney site too.
I agree with Hulababy though, you spend so much time at the parks and dont get the full benefit of the hotel facilities.
However the food there was fantastic, breakfast amazing, and highly recommended all round.

We stayed the Holiday Inn which we thought was fab. We were never there, really, so I don't think it really matters tbh where you stay. There were very regular shuttle buses which took us to the park (5/10 mins of a journey), so it was no problem.
Luckily we'd hired a car and drove from the airport, so we used to drive to non-Disney restaurants in the town of Serris, next to Disney - cos the food in the parks and the Village is crap crap crap! I couldn't have coped with a week of it.

Second the vote for Holiday Inn. They have a little kids playground (under 5's sort of stuff) and a swimming pool, free parking and regular shuttles to the parks, and it was extraordinarily cheap to book directly on their website compared with other hotels and/or packages. Food is awful everywhere in DP. How many kids? The Holiday Inn rooms have a little curtained off area for the kids with a bed or bunks and their own tv. Worked well for us.

Havent been there yet, but going in 2 weeks so can let you know more then. We have booked the Holiday Inn from recommendations here, so very cheap £35 for the whole 4 bed room per night booked direct with Holiday Inn (not through Disney). The park tickets (3 day hopper pass) were much cheaper bought directly from the Disney Store in the uk compared to booking on line with Disney, another tip I picked up here!

we stayed in the wild west themed one, can't remember what it was called. Arrived late in the evening from Eurostar and found i) you have to book a time for breakfast so what was left for us was 6.30am or 10.15am; ii) hotel generally was a noisy echoing place of long corridors (or so it seemed); iii) but the actual room was fine, it was extremely convenient to be so near the park (could pop back for extra jumpers etc) and overall it was tolerable. This was about 6 years ago in January so many things may have changed.
My top tip though would be take your own snacks so you can provide food at a moment's notice instead of joining long queues for fairly unappetising food in the park or finding you are on the other side of the park from the one cafe the kids want to eat in.

My cousin has just been and upgraded this visit to a hotel just outside the gates with its own check in service (went straight up to their rooms iirc) she said it was a real bonus and the hotel led straight out to Disney which was great as they have 3 under 5!

Hi There,

We stayed at New York Hotel which was great. We liked having the swimming pool as at about 4ish each day my ds who was 4 at the time got tired and we then went back to hotel for a swim.I know some poeple say you are not in the hotel for very long we still liked having a nice place to stay.
Have a great time where ever you stay.

Have stayed twice at the Disneyland hotel. Yes it is expensive but I would stay there again if we went back to Disney. If you decide to stay there, try to get a room in the Castle Club. It's a little more than a standard room, but you get VIP fastpasses. These are not the Fast Passes that you get in the park which can run out very early in the day but passes which allow you to go to the front of the queue on fast pass rides AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT. It saved us literally hours of queuing meaning we spent our time really enjoying the park and not standing in queues.

Depends on what time of year you are going I guess. We went at Easter and October half-term last year so busy times in the park.

Disneyland Hotel is really convenient too, you can easily nip back to the room - and Castle Club has 24 hour free soft drinks and afternoon tea - which can save you a lot of time and money. CAT me if you want any further info.
