What would you do regarding seats

In a couple of months I am going with my four children to a country wheredren (8,6,4 &2) they don't use carseats. There is no chance of hiring one at the other end as they just don't use them. I'm seen as fussy for insisting they have seatbelts in an taxi I use.

I shall probably only be using the taxi from and to the airport.
What would you suggest I do about carseats bearing in mind I have to get a train to London first.

I'm wondering if I use a trunki seat for my youngest whether it will be enough. It's supposed to be for 4+ but as at the moment the alternative seems to be nothing (heebyjeebies) I'm considering it. Unless anyone can come up with any bright ideas for me

A Trunki sounds like a good compromise. Are the older children allowed their own hand luggage at all? If so, they could each carry some sort of booster.

Is this any good?

They're each taking their own small suitcase as I can't carry it all. I will have stuff for me and ds3 already as well as ds to carry plus whatever they can't carry though I travel light.

inflatable and light

but pricey

Sorry internet connection slow so x post there

isnt that for feeding and stuff? Smile

I don't know

I can squeeze one more hand luggage size thing under the allowance but not enough for all of them.
The eldest two are very close to legal height over here anyway so not so worried about them.
May sit dd on something so it works in the same way as a bog standard booster just to raise her height up a bit.
It's ds3 (2) who I am worrying about

ooh think I may get one of the inflatable ones for dd. Still not sure about ds3

Yeah, the first one isn't suitable - I was thinking more about the height rather than anything!

I used this for my 5yo. It pulls the seat belt down to fit properly on the shoulder, without moving the lapbelt.

Will your ds3 sit nicely with the seatbelt on and not fall asleep and flollop about? Because if so you could combine the booster and the seat cushion.

thanks I think I may go for that and the trunki seat for ds3 and the inflatable for dd. not perfect but better than nothing.
He should sit fine. I'll make sure he's slept on the plane and then it's only 1/2hr or so in the car.
