Rhodes in mid-end July - ? too hot??

We're considering a holiday in Rhodes this year - travel agent found us something today....I'm just a bit worried about the average temps.
It says 33 for July.
We've previously been to Italy in July and Menorca - I'm just a bit concerned that it's more of a "dry heat" in Rhodes and might be a little too hot for our DSs (8 & 6).
Has anyone else been there in the height of the summer with children who were used to slightly cooler temps?
The hotel has air con etc.
Is it going to be a huge problem?
TIA

Not been to Rhodes but have been to many places in Greece with DCs in July/August time and have found it no different to Sardinia or Mallorca. My DCs are very fair skinned and live in the UK so used to MUCH cooler temps, as a rule! They are also pretty good at having "in the shade" time either reading, playing with Lego or DSing.

I don't think it will be a problem at all.

Thanks Tulpe - that's reassuring - DS1 is very fair but with air con and enforced shade - it sounds like they would handle it.

We've always done just 1 week holiday too, so we're taking the plunge for 2 weeks. I'm having a bit of a nightmare finding somewhere suitable leaving it so late but think I've now got something.

You're welcome Smoggie.

Enjoy your holiday :) And be sure to report back on where you are staying. We are considering Rhodes next year but want to go quite early as DCs are history mad and thought we would do more sightseeing than beach hols in say April/May time.

Booked !!!!
We've gone for something that is a bit out of our normal "own villa with pool, unsociable type" comfort zone Smile- Here. Having never done all inclusive before, less so a "kids zone" type place, but reviews are good and it's just a week. The boys will love it I'm sure and we can always catch the bus to Rhodes town if it all gets a bit too much.
