Blackpool Pleasure Beach pricing?

I was wondering if someone who had been to the pleasure beach recently could help.

Have a few hours to kill in Blackpool on Saturday, was thinking of taking DD to the pleasure beach, but looking on their website it looks like you can only purchase day wristbands. The last time I was there (years ago) you could also buy tickets too. Just wondering as I don't think we will be there long enough to justify buying us all a wristband.

Thanks.

I went last week, it was cracking!
Pleasure Beach introduced a new system 2 years ago where you have to pay £5 for a day pass into the park. The reasoning for this is that it's supposed to keep all the hooligans out. A lot of folk were sceptical and thought of it as just another money grabbing scheme by Amanda Thompson (owner). But I have to say, it really works - Pleasure Beach looks amaing and is thriving , moreso than in recent years.

Depending on how old your dd is and how many rides she would like to go on, it may well be best to get a wrist band.
The £5 day pass does get you on , I think, 3 or 4 things, but they are all pretty lame rides really. And as far as I could see only 1 of those rides was open anyway, due to Nickelodeon Land building which is ongoing.

Nick Land is opening in a few weeks and is the area aimed at younger children. We thought our ds would therefore have little to ride on, but actually, they still have a great selection of rides for children. Ds is 2 and a half and had an amzing day out - there's cars he could drive and carousels and the flying machines and gold mine and derby racers...so many rides! If your dd is anything like my ds, she'll want to go on them all.

We bought a family wristband online for £58. We only needed the 2 adults and the child wristband, but buying the family was cheaper than buying the three individually.
Prices are cheaper at the moment because of the fact that Nick Land is still being built. Pretty sure it lasts until Sunday this week. Book online on their website - saves you loads over the gate cost. Never buy at the gate if you can help it!

Ooooh!! Enjo! I am very jealous - i love the Pleasure Beach so much! A little bit of a Pleasure Beach know-it-all. Blush

They still do tickets, but it's a very expensive way to ride.
You can also but £5 pass, and if you like the look of something, upgrade it to a wristband on the day.

Thanks threelittleducks, that's great Smile

DD is 10 so would be keen to go on loads of rides i think, but we will only have maybe 2 or so hours to spend so I wasn't really keen on spending almost £90 for a short time.

Might be worth getting a wristband for DD and DP and I just going on a few things....hmmm I'm really undecided now! Grin
