Fly to Paris, DLP, then train to Nice?

Thinking of taking ds to DisneyLand Paris in Septemeber.

also thinking of combining it with a few days on the south coast...Nice/ Ville Franche?

Was just wondering how easy it would be to fly to Paris, get train to DLP, and then get the train to Nice? Would probably try and fly back from Nice.

Many thanks

There's a bus from CDG to Disney and a lot of TGV's stop there too. The station at Disney is Marne-le-Vallee. (I don't know how to do accents.) Should be easy enough.

Have you considered Eurostar to DLP, then TGV from Marne - le- Vallee to Nice/ Avignon and then Eurostar Avignon home.

It should be easy but Paris to Nice is quite a long journey by train as the TGV only goes at full crack as far as Marseille and then bimbles along the coast to Nice. It's a very beautiful bimble though.

Your options from CDG to Marne La Vallee Chessy ( the station inside Disneyland resort ) are -
Fast TGV train, which takes 10 minutes, but does involve having to get to Terminal 2D to catch the train on the lower level, then getting to your hotel once you have arrived in Chessy. Train times vary during the day, and tickets are cheaper if booked up to 3 months in advance. Time between trains can vary from 20 mins to 90 mins, so if you miss your intended train, you could have to wait a while for the next one. There are more frequent trains at weekends and holidays. Tickets vary from ? 15 to ? 30.

Using RER train into Paris, then RER line A4 train to MLV Chessy. Fairly cheap option, but takes some time, and can be stressful with kids and luggage. then you still have to get to your hotel from Chessy.

Using VEA bus ( red Disney bus ) which stops at each of the 6 Disney owned hotels in resort, and 3 times daily at the non Disney ones. These buses leave CDG Terminal 2 E/F at frequent intervals during the day, every day.
Cost ? 18 adult ? 15 child aged 3-11.
You can but tickets online on the VEA website, at the VEA desk in Terminal 2 E/F or pay the driver. Journey to Disney takes about 45 mins.

Private transfer - this is the easiest and less stressful option with kids and luggage, especially if arriving in the evening. The driver will be waiting for you at arrivals, and take you directly to your hotel. Cost varies per person. Price for 4-6 people is ? 65-70.
See the Trip Advisor Marne La Valllee/ Disneyland Paris forum for recommended transfer companies regularly used by posters.
