Why do Ryanair prices change by hundreds of pounds on the same day?

I got a quote for 5 flights and by the time I could book it it had gone up £200! I checked the following day and it was different again and tonight the price has fluctuated within 10 minutes, anyone know why?

No, but I do appreciate how annoying it is.
I was looking for a flight for me and DD in June, it came out at something like 120 pounds, I decided to see whether it would be better to go by ferry and drive. By the time I had worked out ferry, approx petrol costs etc, the easyjet site had added another 20 quid. In the space of about 20 minutes.

Blush just seen you refer to RYANAIR rather than easyjet. Same difference really, different seat colours.

Because they are cheating robbing lying scumbags?

Sorry. Just bitter. Grin

On the flip side, we booked flights with. BA last week, they have gone down by £100...argh

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

My DH has a theory that the more times people look at those flights, the more they put the price up (higher demand). Maybe he's right - if I keep looking to check prices, they do seem to go up...
