er, the topic title says it all really!

the weight of the responsibility of the recommendation sits heavily on the bossy family!

if you did go, hope you had a wonderful time

SORRY I missed you until now. What was the question again?

Don't worry, you can rest easy, we had a ball. The weather was OK so we had a couple of yomps and cave explorations down on the beach. We played on all the outdoor playground toys lots. We had fun in the jungle gym thingy. We LOVED the clown lady and the balloon guy at 6pm in the ballroom. DD&DS were OK about their food, me and DW thought ours was fine. We didn't try swimming, 'cause DD was a bit virusy (which led to an ear infection after we'd got home, so just as well really). The apartment suites were very well done (not sure how long that'll last with full-on use though). The only problem we had was there was an enormous family party on the Saturday night which got a bit raucous and the people staying above us had locked their yappy dogs in their room despite being told not to. So we had to get the manager out of bed to sort it out - which they did eventually. Thinking about it, all sounds travelled a bit too easily from above unfortunately.

I felt VERY guilty booking the DCs into the nursery thingy while I had the temerity to read the papers and a novel - no really, I read more than a paragraph for the first time in 4 years! But they both enjoyed themselves so much that a couple of hours here and a couple of hours there was acceptable all round.

We won the music quiz (aka the weird music quiz on a Sunday night run by a very intense bloke with more equipment than absolutely necessary and patronised by the smallest number of contestants ever, most of whom weren't even listening) and got a bottle of Aussie fizz for our troubles which we shared with a terribly nice couple who had arrived late for dinner and whose 10wk old was asleep upstairs - the furthest they'd ever been apart - until we all left the bar at 1am to find out that baby listening had stopped at 11.30. D'oh. No harm done tho.

Upstairs restaurant was a bit 'style over substance' and downstairs the reverse. No problems about the staff despite what I'd heard before we went - a bit weird to hear them chatting amongst themselves in Afrikaans, mind.

It was streets ahead of Knoll House in Studland, less shabby chic than Fowey Hall and probably the worse for it but there was lots more to do and now we know what to expect I think we'll return to Bedruthan rather than gamble on Moonfleet for our next Four Go Mad In.... We liked it enough to be trying to find another long weekend to go there in May or so (this is our last 'we-don't-have-to-stick-to-the-school-holidays' year) or maybe a week if we get a win on the premium bonds between now and then. Thanks for your recommendation - you didn't let us down.

Oh goody, we went to there slightly cheaper hotel Sands in Newquay and again we had a great time - booked the boys into the evening club and had dinner in peace. Lovely ladies running the club who had been working there for years and years...

Did had have lunch at Bedruthan Steps and met a very tired looking David Baddiel in the soft play. Later he was having lunch with glamrous wife, gran, 4 year old and baby.
