Has anyone been to the Mark Warner in Egypt? We are looking for some winter sun (Jan) with 1 and 2 year olds. Sri Lanka seems a bit far (11 hour flight) and I am put off by jabs and malaria.
Thanks!

and the customer service is very good - they have offered us 100% refund as we aren't happy - not many companies will do that ( and we are still going)

We will cope with cold swimming pools (which maybe heated by then) and no tennis courts (DH will have to play table tennis) - we are going for the sailing and the kids club and the food and the weather.....I think we'll be OK

The unbeatable thing about MW and what makes it worth the money is the childrens clubs and also the professionalism and the safety of the watersports teaching. Specially with older children - young aduls as they are correctly referred to in MW. The indie group is superb although, obviously, not a supervised kids club as such. With my boys - 15 and 13, the VITAL aspect of a holiday is making like minded friends as soon as possible! Package holidays may not do this - and certainly never offer the length and standard of childcare available here. Package holiday childcare is usually only for what they classify as a child - ie up to 12. Staying in a good hotel, as we have done before, is taking a chance as there may or may not be other children of the same age and in a big hotel they may never meet. Staying in an isolated villa with sociable teenagers, can be utter torture! It is important the kids meet up at the very beginning of the holiday as although confident on the outside, young people of this age can be really shy and find it hard to break into an established group at a later time. Overheard quite a few conversations last year of families whose teenagers hadn't gone to the initial meetings and then didn't join in. They missed out so much. The only comparable holiday we have ever found is cruising (which I never thought I would enjoy). Again it depends on the cruise line but P and O are absolutely brilliant for older teenagers. Never see ours!!! Like MW it is not cheap but excellents discounts are available.

Blue sky - thanks for the breakfast revue. DS2 will be overjoyed.

Just been reading the Sharm thread. Should we be worried?
