Don't bother! A huge disappointment to me, and to dss, both of whom are mad about books and reading.
There were several activities going on, all of which seemed basically to be drawing and colouring-in. The computers weren't really working properly, and didn't have anything exciting on anyway; several interactive things didn't work (and it's only been open a couple of months); the cafe was overpriced and had run out of most things by 1pm, ds1 was disappointed there was no-one famous in the "author's attic" ; the pieces in the exhibition were not presented well; the place was heaving with green-welly-clad screaming toddlers and their yummy mummies. The best thing was a room with beanbags and some books to read in. But guess what, we can do that at home, or at a library, or at Borders, and they don't charge £15 per family to do it!
