taking eczema creams on flights

Does anyone have any experience of taking eczema creams on flights? According to the regs you cannot take flammable materials on flights, which my daughters creams are as they are paraffin based. Has this been a problem for anyone, or do airlines make an exception as they are medicines? This would seem sensible but we don't want to assume anything!

Also, have you taken them as hand luggage or in the hold?

Many thanks

forgot to mention that her creams come with the warning 'caution flammable' on the phamacists label which is what started us thinking in the first place....

I've taken them in my hold luggage in the past, never even occurred to me not to.

If you need them in your (regulation size) hand luggage, decant into (regulation size) travel bottles, then place bottles inside (regulation size) clear resealable plastic bags - available at the airport at the rip off very reasonable price of £1.

We have taken them in checked and cabin baggage
You don't need to decant them if they have the prescription labels on

They are fine in the hold luggage. I also got a couple of small plastic tubs from the pharmacy - usually used for tablets. I was lucky, they let me have them for free but they are only 50p or something.
Just in case we also got a letter from the Gp detailing all her prescription items, we had steroid creams in tubes which counted as medication and didn't need to be included in the very small plastic bag you are given to put all your creams, liquids etc to pass through customs.
