Take a look at the Marne la Vallee forum on Trip Advisor. Loads of information there and lots of good advice from destination experts iike Figgygirl (though she might still be away.)

I've always booked direct with Disney on the phone or on-line and booked flights separately but that's flying from Dublin.

I think the UK Disney site includes options to book transport.

Have a great trip and happy planning.

I've booked hotels via the Disney site and flights and connections separately for both times we've been.
For the transfer to Disney I'd strongly recommend using the TGV-12 minutes rather than the 50 by road, and the station is right at Disney.

Have a great time however you do it, I'm very envious!

We booked the tickets and hotel direct through Disney and went by train.

I think that you can get really good deals from UK with train.

How old is your child?

Check out the Disney website, we stayed at the Cheyenne hotel which is one of the cheaper hotels, but it was fine.

Best advice we had was to book breakfasts in the park - when you stay at a Disney hotel you get into the park earlier than day guests. So you can go on some of the rides before it gets too busy.

Hi,
As Granard says, there is a forum for Disneyland Paris on Trip Advisor where people who know the resort very well will answer any questions and try to help you to get the most from your trip. The more planning you do, the better experience you will have.

If your child is 6 you should be able to book with the kids under 7 stay and play free offer which is on for most of the year. The best time to book is when they release a 40% off offer, which then drops to 30% or currently 20%.
I prefer to phone Disney and get prices for different hotels and arrival dates, as they can vary a lot. Sometimes a higher category hotel may have a better offer than a budget one, making it cheaper.

Also worth asking your local travel agent if they will give you more discount if you book through them - they need business. My local Co-Op Travel give me another 5% off the Disney price.

Also check with Eurostar ( Expedia ) if you want to consider the direct Disney train from London, Ashford or Ebbsfleet. This is very convenient if you live in the South East or can stay overnight in a hotel (eg.travelodge) near the station for travel the following day.

Check the school holiday dates for schools in Europe, especially France and Spain. French schools break up on 2nd July, but Spanish ones break up in June - around 20th I think. Try to avoid school holidays and weekends, and National Holidays unless you are prepared for large crowds.

Regarding the TGV train....this goes from CDG airport to MLV Chessy station which is inside Disney resort, close to the parks and Village. It takes about 10 mins. However, this needs to be booked in advance, and if your flight is delayed you could miss your train. You also have to get from your arrival Terminal to the TGV Terminal which can take some time with kids and luggage.
You then also have to get from the railway station to your hotel using the shuttle buses or walking.

The VEA Disney buses take about 50/ 60 mins leaving from Terminal 2 E/F, but many find the easiest journey to Disney is by private transfer, waiting for you at arrivals. The TA MLV forum recommends a few that posters regularly use.
You can be from airport to your hotel door in 30 mins if roads are clear. It can work out cheaper than paying per person on the bus or train.

Some people like to use a private transfer on arival, but use the VEA bus or TGV train for return journey.

If you are on a tight budget, you may wish to consider hotels outside resort, in Val D'Europe, Bussy St Georges or Torcy, 1, 2 or 3 stops from Disney on the train.
You will find hotel suggestions in the Top Questions box on the MLV forum page.

Staying in a Disney owned hotel, Davy Crockett Ranch or Hotel Elysee in Val DE gives you Extra Magic Hours from 8am - 10am in the Disneyland Park.
