Very nice but a bit far from many things.

Yes I would and have and I am going back next year. To Marmaris.

We were in Marmaris when it was last bombed (about 4 years ago I think?) My mum almost had heart failure and was advising us to go straight to the airport where she woukld ahve tickets home waiting for us Hmm. We declined her offer.

MrsChemist, Yalikavak is lovely, we stayed there last year, it is fairly quiet but that is what makes it so charming there.

I lived on the Bodrum Peninsula for about 3 years and it is still one of my favourite places.

I am sure you will have a lovely holiday and it really is a great place to take children, the Turks love kids and make a great fuss over them.

I have no idea why everlong wouldn't take children there, it seems very odd to me Confused as it is such a child friendly place.

I think she may have been reading the take a break articles, could be wrong Smile

The day before the FO issued its travel advisory on Egypt, DH changed our easter hotel booking from Luxor to Turkey (forget the name of the resort, the one near Ephesus and Samos). Looks like Egypt will probably be OK but with DD he wouldn't take any risk.

Not been to Turkey before, glad for all the positive feedback on here.

Kusadasi is near to Ephesus and Samos, it is a fairly busy resort. I hope you have a good time.

You're probably right fifi Grin

That's the one Smile. The hotel is a bit out of town, I think.
