Sorry its taken me so long to get back Ohfuchsia, went home early on Friday. You might be related, my mum was from Dooega (just along from Ashleam), dad is from Pollagh. Was over a few weekends back and the weather was amazing, just like a spring day. Mind you it went back to the usual grey the next day.

Mamsnet, I love Curracloe! My Mum lives in Wexford and we go there a lot when visiting her. Also love, love love Kilmore Quay

I would choose (in addition to Dublin) West Cork or Galway but not both.

I think Dublin is worth a visit.

Dont bother with Cork city but in West Cork, try Glandore, Schull, Bearhaven - all stunningly beautiful.

Galway City is gorgeous and their is so much to do and see in Connermara. Can recommend Roselague Manor in Letterfrack for some old world charm.

When are you going though, the weather can be horrific
