what can you tell me about living in BIRMINGHAM

Dh has possibility of job in Walsall. We will go and nose around of course, but where in Birmingham is nice to live? Ideally we want to be close to a good school, and not too far away from things to do/shops/etc.

(Also, we support Villa Is this a big deal round there? If so, not in a City area please!)

Thanks guys. As usual, not definate, but I want to try and suss the area before his interview this week.

Our main concerns are buying a house (we can't afford one here in berkshire) and hopefully with a bit of a pay rise and slightly cheaper houses it might be possible. Hopefully to an area in desperate need of childminders too....

I want to live somewhere with good amenities cos I don't drive (and don't really want to tbh although I know that won't last...) ]

We'll see how the interview goes then I might be house hunting!
