Hi, Puerto Pollensa is really nice. It is more of a port with a nice beach and shady promenade than a purpose built resort and the town has quite a few shops. Good bus services from P Pollensa. We are going back to P Pollensa with a 3yre old and 4mth old in a few weeks time and have booked into a family hotel through Thomsons. I know there is a nice beach but probably no waterparks or zoos. Most of the villas tend to be in Pollensa rather than Puerto Pollensa, Pollensa is inland a few kilometres and is a nice and small town with lovely old buildings, big church and a market I think. It depends what you want but Northern Majorca apparently has better transport links than the resorts on the east coast, although you'd probably have a car. Alcudia may be more of a children's resort as it is always advertised as family orientated but maybe doesnt have as nice a feel as P Pollensa. Hope that helps.

I know there's a soft play area in Puerto Pollensa if you get a crap day! Didn't go there but I saw it!
Otherwise I'm not sure as we tended to stay by the pool in our villa. We are going in a villa next May to Puerto Pollensa and the children will be 5, 3.5 and 20 months.
It's a lovely promenade, port and beach - I don't like overly commercial, 'children orientated' places anyway - it depends what sort of things you are looking for.
Ours are little so are happy splashing in the pool and playing in the garden.

We've also stayed twice in a villa near there; just a mile or 2 from PP. We went in spring when the beach wasn't too busy; don't know what the summer would be like if that's what you're planning. Majorca is obv. not huge, so if you have a car you can go anywhere really. Mine were 7, 5 and 2.5ish on one of the trips and weren't into kids' activities as such. One day we went to the middle of the island to a "reconstruction of 19th cent.upper class Spanish life" type house. There is a little children's farm there which they loved. Sorry can't remember location but it's very central and well known and honestly not a long trip by car. We also went to Palma one wet day; beautiful.

Hi,
We have been going since 1987 and love it just as much as that first time, used to own an apt but sold it after our son died. Eventually we have gone back and were ther this May with our 7 yr old triplets. No, there isnt alot to do, but usually the weather is fantastic and mine just want the beach. Having said that the boat trip to Formentor is lovely, kids really enjoyed it, don
t do the glass bottom boat though thats a rip off. The bus service from the port is really good so you can go just about anywhere on the isalnd and quite cheaply. If you have a car its really worth taking a drive up through the mountains, visit Lluc, Valdemosa, Deya, stunning. Also visit the caves, the kids will be fascinated, you can go to the Caves of Drach at Porto Cristo, but much nearer and very impressive are the Caves of Campanet nr Pollensa, the kids were amazed by them, stunning location too. Yes there is the indoor play area if you get stuck, a couple of parks, but I am sure they will just be happy on the beautiful beach! Highly recommend Tangos for food, great food and really quite reasonable, also Tots is very popular, and fun for coffee is Bony
s in the market square. Market in P Pollensa is Weds morning, Sun morning in old Pollensa. Anything else you need to know just ask! Lucky you!
