Four days in Brussels - what should I take for 12month old?

We are taking our DD to Brussels on the Eurostar for 4 days soon, our first trip on a train with her - do I need to take milk with me as not sure if they sell it there? (I use SMA follow-on). Should I also take jar food as only has two teeth so still eating fairly mushed-up food? Do you think a buggy is suitable or a more substantial pram - help??!!!

Poolie, I live in Brussels. How old is your dd?

If you're worried, take her usual milk - brands are different here, and supermarkets often don't sell formula (chemists do, but they are very expensive). You can get baby food in jars here no problem, unless you/dd is veggie - very limited choice after the very first weaning jars if you don't want meat.
Will you be self-catering or eating out? Brussels restaurants/cafes in my experience are not very child-friendly (seldom high-chairs available etc) and it's often good to have a jar in reserve. If you have one of those travel clip-on high-chair-thingies, you might consider bringing it.
Be warned: bring a good-sized changing mat if you can and be prepared to change nappies anywhere - hardly anywhere apart from Ikea has official baby changing facilities. In most places, including cafes, you have to pay to use the toilets (e.g. 30 cents) and the floor of the loo may be the last place you would like to put dd.
I'd bring a buggy, not a pram - you'll want to be able to manoevre along narrow cobbled streets (and fold it up on the Eurostar!).
Just re-read that, and it makes Brussels sound terrible. It isn't, but it's just not like the UK when it comes to catering with babies. Hope you really enjoy your trip.
