Cottage recommendations?

Have you stayed in a fantastic s/c cottage you'd recommend?

We're looking for somewhere for next year to sleep 6 - anywhere in UK mainland except right by the seaside. (This year was so perfect, we couldn't compete). We'd be interested in staying on a farm - does anyone have experience of that? Or ecstatic about a reasonably-priced cottage with a private pool, or good access to a shared pool. My main priority is good quality, spacious accommodation with some degree of privacy.

Rhiannon from what i recall on my visit there were carpets in the main rooms and tiles in the kitchen.

I didn't find any sign of pets having been there, and i am allergic to cats and dogs so I would have noticed (if that is what you are concerned about)!

Last year having previously only used Country Cottages I decided to book a cottage using the tourist board. I found a wonderfull cottage in Allerston near Pickering on the east coast. All its details were on their internet site so I knew what it was like inside before we went, and it was a lot cheaper than we would have normally paid. Worth thinking about.
