London - somewhere for a special meal

Not exactly a weekend break (we live in London!) but dh and I have a couple of days child free (first time in about 14 years Grin) which coincides with our 21st anniversary.
Want to eat out somewhere special, but not somewhere we would feel uncomfortable. Just good food and wine, preferably central or north London.
Any recommendations?

Have a look at www.hardens.com - their reviews are generated by members of the public and are rated by food, atmosphere & service. They cover London & the rest of the UK & we've never had a duff recommendation from them in 10 years of using / contributing (get a free guide for contributing a number of electronic reviews per year).

We went to Galvins Bistro de Luxe as a grown up treat before DD2 arrived and it was lovely - nice relaxed atmosphere (posh bistro) and good food & wine. The pre-meal drinks menu was stupidly expensive but all else good value.

For fun we also like Ping Pong in Great Marlborough Street.

Have a fab evening
