Im thinking of taking my DD to disneyland over new year, she will have just turned three. Has anyone ever took a a 3 yr old, and do you think they are old enough to appreciate it?

Do price it up carefully if you are using a Disney hotel. They tend to balance out any offer prices with under occupancy charges on the adult price. dd was just under 3 when we went - loved the rides and the princesses but hated the costume characters.

its not as pricery as i thought.

I was a bit worried about that myself. We were in Town lastweek and there was a beatrix potter signing day at Waterstones. She literally shook with fear when she seen this 6 foot rat/bear thing. I know its cruel but couldnt help but laugh (blush). She loves Disney though so I will just hide her if I see any 6 ft rodents.

Her height may be an issue on the rides - we took ds when he was three and there was not much he could go on exept Its a blinkin Small world ride!, - Dd was 6 and could go on everything so me and ds watched her and dh having a great time

Also he doesn't remember it and she does

I was thinking more of the parades and stuff that she would enjoy. Its gotta be better than being here with her depressed mother.

You will both love it, their is nothing like skipping hand in hand through fantasyland listening to the magical music.
For tips and restrictions for each ride look here . There are quite a lot you can go on. The characters can be appreciated from a distance, lots of children are a bit nervous of them. I would give the character breakfast a miss.

There are loads of rides you can do with A 3 year old. Small world, spinning tea cups, dumbo, rocket one, carousel, peter pan, and loads loads more - can't remember off the top of my head.

She will have a fantastic time
