Flying within the UK

I have to go to Durham for a family funeral next week. We live in Gloucester. My mum suggested we fly from Bristol to Newcastle.

From what I can gather you don't actually need a passport to fly within the UK, just photo ID (obviously a pssport is easiest for airlines). However, I would be flying with my 2yr old DD who has NO photo ID of any sort, not even a passport. Does she need photo ID/passport? (Obviously if she does need one we won't fly, as I don't want to have to pay to rush through a passport for her which we probably won't use again!) We are probably going to fly with Easyjet but couldn't find anything on their website!Confused

If you look at this and scroll down you will see children can fly without photo id when travelling with an adult within the UK. Easy-jet are used to this it happens all the time for lots of reasons.
