Does anyone have any advice for our trip to Disneyland Paris - we hope to go during this Summer holiday for about 3 nights (travelling by Eurostar)- which hotels do you recommend ? ( the not too expensive options !) what about food ?? and which rides/attractions would be fun for us both ? Am very excited about the Eurostar bit I must say.

We are going to Disney land at the end of the month. We too are flying, why was it such a nightmare getting to the resort from the airport? (You have me worried now)

TIA

Despair not, read on! We also had a nightmare getting there from the airport- there doesn't seem to be any real timetbale for the shuttle buses. We wiated for about 40 minutes (with wildly excited children, you can just picture it) before a bus finally arrived- it dropped passengers off and then instantly shut the doors and drove off, ignoring the huge queue. Another 20 minutes on, and a bus finally turned up. We got to Disneyland and our hotel was the last one they went to (New York), so it took another 20 minutes after arriving at the resort before we got off the bus.

But... if there are four of you (huge assumption) it's just as cheap to get a taxi. Hardly any more for 3. The only times a taxi is really expensive are before 8 in the moring (as we discovered to our cost on the way back) and presumably some time in the evening.

Have fun!

Thanks Tamun and Galazy for your replies. I think we will just take a taxi as well. We arrive in at 7 at night so I think it would be better. How long does it take by taxi? Any more tips re the hotel(we too are staying in the New York)or the park?

TIA

Sorry me here again!! Did you pre book your taxi or did you just get one when you came off the flight? Cheers.

My only tip about the hotel is further down the thread, about windows. I thought it was pretty good- very nice pool, and the breakfasts were fab with no queuing, loads of lovely croissants. If you want to eat there in the evening you need to book, but you can do that the same morning.

We didn't get a taxi there, so I'm not sure what's best but there's a taxi rank at the airport, and my gut feeling is that it would be easier to get one of those than try and find the one you'd booked. It took about 30 minutes as far as I remember, certainly faster than the bus. Have a lovely time!

Thanks very much Tamum, we are really looking forward to it. My ds who is 4.6 asks most days how long is it until we go? He is so excited.

Thanks again

lorne, one of our highlights was the Character Breakfast, it was busy at Disney when we went and sometimes you couldnt get close enough to the characters, but at the breakfasts it was brilliant. You can book it at your hotel reception.

It was held in Cafe Mickey which is very close to your hotel, great buffet breakfast, and then we were joined by Mickey and Minnie, followed later by Goofy and Jimminy Cricket. They came to each table, did an autograph, then posed for the photos, it was LOVELY!!
