Anyone taken cartons of milk abroad?

Has anyone taken the individual cartons of baby formula on a plane? Need to take some to France and want to make sure they don't burst

No, but the cabin crew serve juice from the same sort of cartons and so I'd assume that it was okay. Don't you have to stick to the 100ml max of liquid rule though, or is it different for parents with babies?

They won't burst but security may make you open and taste.

Thanks for the advice. The liquid rule is different for babies and I have been told you will have to taste half of anything in your hand baggage. May put some in the hold though.

There's another thread about this under 'General travel advice/tips' and someone suggested phoning/ordering/securing a load of cartons from the Boots in the departure lounge. That way you don't have to open it and taste it. Maybe that's an option?
