More than one passport application.

This is possibly a silly question but I cant seem to find the answer. Ds2 needs a first passport DP needs to renew and DS1 only has 6 months left on his. We might go away fairly soon before I'm too pregnant to fly- I'm 22 weeks pregnant at the moment. SO my question is is it possible to get all passports done at once or do you have to do them one at a time?

I did mine (and was a change of name to married name) and ds1's (new at 9mo) at the same time - but was 7 years ago.

Presumably you can't go away until ds2 has one so I'd do them together.

I'm just doing 3 at once - use the online form service if you have time - they are essentially separate applications though but nothing to stop you doing more than one at once.

Information here www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Passports/index.htm and also the links to the forms.

They will need DPs passport for his renewal and both DS,s applications so unless they can treat it as a joint application I dont see how they would do it.

I called the passport office and they told me just to submit them in one envelope.

just to clarify - you do not need to send yours or DH/DP's passport provided it is just a renewal for the child, and you have a full current british passport. You just need to supply the passport numbers on the form.

So I am doing 3 at once, me, DH and DS1. So me and DH's form has our own passport numbers and we need to enclose our passport and 2 photos. DS's needs mine, DH's and his own passport number and his own passport and two photos.

provided all are current UK passports they don't even need countersigning or any other docs with them.

We did 3 all at once this year. 2 renewals and a new one for dd2. They didn't take DH's passport the woman just checked it and gave it back.

You do need the new one countersigned, but the renewals only need countersigning if your appearance has changed a lot. I did mine anyway, just in case.

I'm pretty sure you can do them all at once. Hope you have a lovely holiday!

Do you not have a passport yourself? I'm pretty sure you don't need to send your birth certificate if you have a passport....

Also look at the address generated to send it to (its easiest and cheapest to do it all online). They may be different. Last time I did it DS and I were sent to two different offices (peterborough and newport) so my docs went to one and DS's to the other - fortunately just our old passports so no issue. This time with other DC sent it to liverpool!
