Virgin online check in

Can anyone tell me if you can check in online before you travel if you can't print your boarding cards off yourself? I checked in online coming over to the USA and printed off the boarding cards, but I'm over here in the USA now and have access to a computer to check in but don't have access to a printer.

Have used Virgin in the past ourselves, twice checking in at Downtown Disney on day of flight and dropping cases off.

www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/passengerinformation/disney.jsp

The other time, queued at airport to check in which was quite busy. Didnt have computer access over there then, not sure if you can check in online, perhaps give them a phone call/email to find out???

Enjoy your holiday!!!

If you're at a hotel, could you borrow one of their computers and printers to do it?

EldonAve · 02/09/2010 10:19

I think you can and you can use the airport machines to print them off

oldraver · 06/09/2010 18:48

I'm sure if you go to the Virgin desk just insde the doors they would do it for you

catinthehat2 · 06/09/2010 18:57

Hotels & condo offices well used to this. Just show up at the desk, they usually let you log in & print on their system,

alarkaspree · 06/09/2010 18:59

It's fine. Log in online, you will get an option to print your boarding pass but it's an option, you don't have to. You can print a boarding pass at the machines at the airport but in fact it's a waste of time ime because they give you a new one at the desk anyway if you are dropping off luggage.

catinthehat2 · 06/09/2010 19:01

Haven't seen Virgin ticket machines generally in US airports, even in those used by Virgin.

Alouiseg · 06/09/2010 19:02

It's fine, just check in but don't print.

thanks for all the replies. Sorry it took a while to respond. Back in good old England now. Yes, I managed to check in on line and they had a bag drop place at he airport, so dropped bags there and they gave me boarding cards. Saved me loads of time queuing at airport Easy peasy. Smile

Does anyone know if they still do the check in at downtown disney? we used to do this years ago but have not flown virgin for a long time

Clayhead · 11/09/2010 08:12

I checked in at Downtown Disney earlier this year.

preposterouspillock · 11/09/2010 12:54

Yes, they still do at downtown disney, but unless the holiday is a virgin holiday, and not just the flight, then they charge $10 per person I believe.

thanks for that. Money well spent I think. We used to check in at downtown disney years ago before they stopped it after 9/11.
Its fab to be able to get rid of all the bags then back to the pool for the day before going to the airport. DH is not good at airports when we have lots of bags and boy, do we have lots of bags Grin

From VA's website:-

Visit the check in facility located in the valet area of the Cirque du Soleil, next to the Virgin Megastore in the Westside area of Downtown Disney, parking lot L & M.

The check in facility is open daily from 8.15am to 1.00pm local time.

Check in for your flight and you will receive your boarding pass.

Payment for excess baggage, date of travel change fees and upgrade charges can also be taken provided, that the ticket does not require to be reissued. (These charges can only be taken in the form of USD cash or credit cards only).

Your bags are then taken to the airport in secure vans.

All you need to do is arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flights scheduled departure time.

This service is complimentary to Upper Class passengers, Flying Club Gold cardholders, Virgin Holidays passengers and infants.

All other passengers, (providing they are holding a confirmed seat), may use this service at a charge of USD10.00 per person.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 11/09/2010 17:15

Also the Virgin Megastore closed last year so am wondering what is actually there now.

mumoverseas · 11/09/2010 19:57

Thanks Attila. We used to check in there years ago when it was just a small stand in the car park. Not been able to check the website myself as the website is blocked here so that is very helpful, thank you. And yay to having an infant with us Grin
