Weve booked into the premier inn in heathrow on the evening before-Slough fully booked at the mo so might be able to swap at some point. Were taking dd aged 14 ds aged 7 and new baby (brave 1 ).

Would LOVE any tips on how to make the most of the day. I can see us spending the most of the day reading the map !

Is it worth spending 60.00 on the Q bot virtual queing thingy ?

Cant wait !
Many thanks

We live really close and love it, you will have a ball.

Firstly, food is exceptionally expensive, picnics are very acceptable and leave enough money for ice creams and refill drinks etc.

They have fun buggies to hire in the shape of cars with steering wheels, might keep the 1 year old in place more than the usual mode of transport?

When you arrive, take the train down rather than walk it's more fun and you'll be doing that hill more than once in a day, makes life easier!!

When we leave we usually get dd a box of chicken and chips at the top cafe which she eats in the car on the way home; finishes off the day nicely and allows us to stay right to the end without her becoming over tired and hungry, but she's only 3.

Any q jumper is genius as it can get super busy, my brother told me his kids q'd for ages on the bigger rides.

You'll have a top time, Pirate Show is really fun but is a real sun trap by the water so take sun screen just incase as it gets hot hot.

Have fun!!

I took the dss last week and it was definitely worth having a q-bot. We didn't have to wait anywhere so got to try everything.

The food is pretty dire, and the main shop sold out of the set of Lego ds3 wanted to spend his money on. We should have brought it earlier in the day and collected as we were levaving.

Mind the wasps! We were there 2 weeks ago and there were LOTS of wasps. Take some spray with you, and some cream for stings Sad

Q-Bots are definitely worth while,we had 1 Bot that worked for 2 of us (so one adult went on the ride with DD while the other held the bags). Given the age difference you have, if you go for these then get a separate one for the 14y old as you can only pre-book one ride at a time on each Bot.

If you walk down rather than wait for the train (and it is all downhill) then you go past the Viking Boats ride. This was our 9y old DDs favourite (and ours too) and it gets very busy. If it's quiet on the way down, I would definitely recommend going on it with the older 2.

We found the park is particularly busy from about 1-4pm, then started to quiet down, and by 5pm we were just walking straight onto the rides.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

(If you paid by Tesco vouchers, as we did, listen out for Legoland person coming round in the Q. She will exchange them for your tickets on the spot so we didnt have to Q.)

went there yesterday.

  1. definitely get a Q-bot machine to beat the queues (which were on average 45 mins long for most popular rides).
  2. Our 6 yr old liked Dragon's Apprentice best and Fairy Brook and something in Vikings Land (boats that go round and down the rapids - not as scary as it seems).
  3. My hubby suggested we see Bob the Builder in 3D. I thought he was going bonkers but we all loved it (and got wet)
  4. Pirates show is fab
  5. Pirates falls is a must but they closed it yesterday at 5pm so we could not q-bot it.
DD loved every minute, and so did mum and dad! By the way, Hotel Legoland is opening in 2012. Also, take your own food to keep costs down.
