Disneyland Paris - Where to book?

Hi

We've decided to take our first ever trip to Disneyland Paris. I just want to know if there is any benefit booking through a travel agent such as flight centre or Thompsons (or any others) or am I best to book direct through Eurostar?

Thanks.

Best advice for this is on Trip Advisor - Marne la Vallee forum. Lots of experts there.

We don't live in UK so have always booked either on Disney website or direct with them on the phone & booked flights separately.

From what I've read on TA, the travel agents have to phone Disney for quotes anyway so I'm not sure they can offer a better deal than booking direct.

Enjoy.

Hi, I have usually booked directly with Disney over the phone, including our flights or Eurostar, as I find it easier to book a package. The prices will be the same as booking online, but I prefer to speak to a Disney operator, and ask for prices for the hotels I am interested in. The phone number is 08448 008 111. Then press 1 to speak to an operator for prices.
You could also ask Eurostar for a quote, as they can book your hotel as well. If you book a package with Disney, your park tickets are included, so check that this is the case with Eurostar as well.We have had Express Service included when travelling by direct Disney Eurostar, which means we got our check in documents and park tickets on the train, and then they took our luggage to our hotel from the station, so we could go straight into the parks on arrival at 1.30pm.
They also take your luggage to the station on your last morning, for you to collect later before boarding the train home.
This time I booked through our local Travel Agent, as I was a bit cheeky and asked if they would knock off a bit more, in addition to the 40% from Disney. They knocked off another 5%, so it is worth asking around. They phoned Disney for the price, then took off another 5% for me. I added on Half Board, as it saves money if you want to eat in buffets or table service restaurants, rather than just the fast food counters.
One of the advantages of booking directly with Disney is that you can easily make changes, add things on, or even postpone your trip if necessary without any penalties. You can also ask for any special requests, particular room locations etc.
As Granard says, there is a Forum on Trip Advisor under Marne La Vallee, which is mainly for Disneyland Paris. You can get a lot of help and advice for planning your trip there, including advice on transfers from airports.
