We normally go to Legoland in October on one of the special "firework" days-they are listed on the legoland site. Just remember to wrap up warm as it can get a bit chilly there at that time of year, obviously!

I don't think I would to be honest chatee. It' a fabulous place (we've been 4 times); very accessible, and very easy with a pushchair.

BUT if you were there on a day when it just rained heavily and continually I think it would be rather miserable with young children, and not worth it when you've had to travel such a long way. I would hold off til next spring or summer.

So in terms of suggestions of places to go ... do you have any geographical limitations? Preferences: activity/museums ...

we went in the pouring rain this week with two 2 1/2 year old boys. They loved it and didn't notice the rain. However, I was really glad I hadn't brough my tiny baby, and my friend was glad she hadn't got her wheelchair using friend (6 years old) who she'd brought the time before. There were no queues, and stuff to do indoors, but we didn't stay long!

no, but dh has just said he wouldn't mind going to the natural history museum?
we are also going to stay overnight so would need a nice but not too expensive(cheaper the better)family friendly hotel within easy distance of any attractions.....
hoping dd will have a wheelchair by then.....

NHM London? How about the Science Museum - that's fab! London is going to be a lot more expensive for hotels if you want to stay centrally.

We went to the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester this week, and that is fantastic. Definitely enough there for a day trip, or several. Have you been? Also the top floor of the City Art Gallery in Manchester is amazing for kids.
