What kids ages for Disney/Florida?

Dh has said he wants to take the girls to Florida Disney in 2012.

DD1 will be 3 almost 4 (July)
DD2 will be around 2. (May)

Would it be best to wait a few more years till they are abit older or would it be ok?

Should we just do a long weekend in Paris Disneyland for now?

we have done Florida and Disneyland Paris several times, our boys have been going since they were 6 months.

They have shown their enjoyment in different ways at that young age, and we are going again in December when they will be 4,3 and 1. They love it and are so excited to be going.

No they won't remember it when they;re our age if they go so young, but that doesn't mean they won't enjoy it.

We originally went more for us with our 1st son at 6 months old, and were really surprised at how he chuckled at things, danced at the parades in his pushchair.

I think if you're happy to take them at that age, and are confident you can go at your family's pace and not feel rushed, you should definitly go. seeing their little faces light up is just wonderful.

Think I replied on your other thread.

DD has been to Florida at 2y4m, 4y2m and 7y and loved it each and every time. Even at 2y she did 14 days of full theme park days, morning til night. And she could go on many rides, loved the shows, adored the characters, etc.

Depends if you are likely to go back again int he future, or if it is a one off trip. If a one off, maybe leave it a few years when they can do pretty much everything and they will be more likely to retain all the memories of it.

Have to comment on the Paris comprision. We have been to Florida 3 times and DLP 4 or 5 times. IME DLP is MUCH busier, longer queues, bigger waits, and more people all around (probably as only two parks instead of several in Florida.) last time we went to DLp on one day we left early as it wasso busy it was no longer pleasant.

Yes, you are right - she will keep going for ever when it comes to a theme park. Even at 2y she was non stop, wanting to go on anything and everything morning til night.

Have been to DLP and Florida mainly in school holidays - DLP in October half terms, Florida in summer hols. Did DLP and Florida once each in June which, for DLP, was a little less busy, but IME still busier than Florida.

Agree with the others would wait especially if its a one off holiday. The long haul flight with little ones can be very hard especially on the way back when they usually go overnight. On the return flight from Florida this year there was a little girl aged around 2 or 3, begging and crying to get off the plane for a good 2 hours!
