Hi Ladies

Has anyone been to Sardinia as a family holiday?

We are looking to book for next year. Our kids will be nearly 3 and 5 years old.

If anyone has any recommendations as to where they've really enjoyed, I;d be glad to hear them!!!!!!!

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed here when dd was 18 months old. We had a mini apartment. It was truly lovely. Baia Sardinia and Capriccioli beach were my faves though. Needed a car. We also did a day trip to Bonifacio in Corsica which was fabulous.

We stayed at Chia Village on the basis of a Mumsnet recommendation. We had a lovely time. It was half board with two interconnecting rooms. There were 2 main pools, the childrens one was beside the kids club and was not too busy. There was a free mini train to the beach which DS loved, beach was amazing and free towels provided you weren't in first two rows.

Food was good quality lots of variety, there was a childrens buffet 5 - 7 but it was a bit miserable so we tended to take DS along to the later dinner and give him plain pasta ( he is a fussy child)

There was evening entertainment which was energetic and free, generally provided by the childrens club hosts. Kids club was ok, but felt a bit casual, kept whisking them off to the beach without advising parents. DS just went in for the odd half hour as none of us felt comfortable with him spending loads of time there as girls didn't speak much english. however if you have a confident child or one who loves company then would be good for a little break. They had a kids disco in the evening but DS wasn't keen.

I loved the setting and not having to do much, it felt a bit like being on that resort in Dirty Dancing, you know where they looked after you and it was all families.

Not sure if I am selling it well, our mantra for a good holiday is that DS is happy and entertained then we will be too and Chia Village ticked the right boxes for us.
