Ryanair Checked baggage

Hi,

We are flying with Ryanair tomorrow and my parents have paid £60.00 for one large suitcase to share. My mum has just read in the small print that you cannot share luggage and pooling of luggage is not permitted. Is this true? They have bought one big suitcase so they can share it. Will they really open the case and check the luggage?

Thanks

PS - this is our first time flying with Ryanair and what a performance!!!

I think they mean that you can't pool the weight. IE, if they were both allowed 15kg, they couldn't have one case weighing 30kg between them. As long as case is below the weight limit they won't care what's in it.

So long as the one case is under 15kg, they don't care. We rarely take more than two cases for the three of us when avelling with Ryanair or Easyjet - never hada problem.

It means you can't have two pieces, one weighing 20kg and one weighing 10kg. But you can have two weighing 15kg.

They are very keen on the weight though, so make sure it isn't over 15kg at all.

You can have a 20kg case now - they offer the "heavy case" option as well as their usual 15kg.

But still, yes you can take one case between 2 as long as it isn't overweight.
